Answers:
i think they eat flower necture, put some flowers in with it
all that stuff is wut they eat but you might try sugar water too lie a hummingbird mix
why is this question in the dogs section?
anyway. nector i guess
its prolly going to die if you dont let it go. butterflys and etc dont often do well in a glass jar or whatever small container you prolly have it in especially since you have no idea how to care for it.
nectar. or small insects, maybe?
Nector and pollen. Let the butterfly out or you will kill it.
Brace yourself: they tend to feed off carrion.
Depending on the species of butterfly it is. I would actually let the butterfly go because then it wont starve to death or anything else in this temp habitat that might harm it. Butterflies tend to eat flower nectar, and because it uses a proboscis like a fly does, there is no way it can eat a stick. Special butterfly food are mixed with water and are put on a plate where they can eat it. Other butterflies may eat some sort of mashed up leaves but keep this in mind: ONE TYPE OF BUTTERFLY WILL ONLY EAT CERTAIN FOODS. So identify your butterfly, dosome research and then feed it. But also, food is not enough. Air and the freedom to move around is other elements for keeping butterflies.
