What convincing argument can i offer my husband to convince him that our dogs need to be neutered?

He thinks that I just want to emasculate them, but they are showing signs of agression, and marking. We argue about this everyday.
Answers:
he is obvouisly an idiot, divorce him.
It's them or you.
Try explaining to your husband that they are getting agressive and are 'marking' ... and also tell him that ANY RESPONSIBLE person gets his pet 'fixed' because there are far too many 'unwanted' dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens that are either 'abandoned' (to go 'feral' and become 'hazards to the community') or must be 'put to death' because good homes can't be found for them. Tell him that this 'emasculation' isn't the same for dogs as it is for humans ... nobody is going to want to 'set their child out' to become feral, or to be 'put down' ... but that CAN happen to DOGS. And if he 'doesn't agree' then take you dogs to the vet, and have their 'inner tubes tied' so that they'll still 'have their balls' but will be 'infertile' and also 'calmer' ... and your husband never needs to 'know' that you had them 'fixed.'
I have a big beautiful and neutered Doberman, the procedure does not emasculate the dog in any way ! If it's appearance that he is concerned with, ask your vet about testicle implants. I am not kidding, when the vet removes the testicle during the neuter, he can put in an implant (like a saline breast implant for women) that makes the dog appear to be intact. In fact, just take the dog in and have it done (with the implants) and the hubby will never know ! I personally plan my sneaky projects that the husband disagrees with around his work schedule, works out just fine !
You answered the question yourself - they are showing signs of agression. What other reason do you need? It also makes the dogs health better in regard to cancer etc. The top reason is there are to many unwanted dogs in the world now why take the chance of creating more puppies.
just explain to him that its best to have the dogs neutered/spayed.i know when we had our first female dog...and she went into heat...i couldnt stand it.he finally gave in and agreed to have her spayed. if you're gonna breed the dog, thats a different story. we got a rat terrier last year, and we're gonna have him neutered.
First of all, I agree with Kris. There are too many unwanted pets out there already. But also, having a male neutered helps prevent them from getting colon cancer. In females it helps prevents them from getting cancer of the uterus. I have seen many little dogs 7-8 years old so sick you almost lose them (and some have died) from not being spayed or neutered. Talk to your husband about the safety and the health of the animal. I am sure your Vet has some pamphlets on this. Good Luck
Almost every time two intact males will fight. No matter if they have been raised together, are siblings, father and son... doesn't matter. They will fight to establish domaince over eachother. Sometimes, depending on the dog, this can be deadly.
Also, intact males are more likely to run off in search of a female, males can smell a female dog in heat up to 5 miles away.
If you have 2 males, they will also engage in a 'marking war' where they will mark walls, furniture, anything you can think of... (i have had to go through this... its not fun)
Neutering eliminates testicular cancer and decreases the incidence of prostate disease.
There are so many dogs that end up in the shelter and that are put to sleep each year. Most of these are strays, where someones unaltered male got loose and found his way to a stray female in heat. Or vice versa.
I have 6 dogs, 3 are males. Only one is unaltered, because he is a show dog. And i got lucky with him because he loves everybody. But let me tell you, the neutered dogs are so much easier to handle.
Hope this helps. Please, neuter your dogs, it will be better for you and the dogs.
