What do i do when my dog is choking?

Lay the dog down on its back. Push upward and inward from the belly to in to the ribs. If this doesn't work after three or four times then stick your hand down its throat as far as need be. I wouldn't worry about hurting it, its better than dying.
Don't try to rush the dog to the vet unless its just next door. It only take six minutes for a dog to die from lack of air. Four minutes for brain damage.

when my dog chokes, i give her a treat and get her to drink water. It clears the passageway, but this is when shes coughing not fatally choking.
