Do you feed him inside or outside? If it is outside you could have got parvo(SP). It is a sickness that bird pass to dogs and it is very bad for puppies. Also depending on how long you have had him he could be missing his family or someone t play with. If you gets worst like always sleeping and always laying down and not wanting o play I would take him to the vet. Hopefully he just needs a friend to play with.

Well you don't give the age of the puppy, but maybe he just needs a nap? If so keeping him awake isn't a good idea and puppies need their sleep.
