What can I feed my puppy that will make his poop more solid?

What can I feed my puppy that will make his poop more solid? I'm tired of trying to scrape up his slurpy textured poop off the lawn with the pooper scooper
Answers:
Try a teaspoon of canned pumpkin with the food you're giving him.
Call the vet for the right proportion, but less canned food, more puppy chow. Puppy can have access to water for moisture content.
take some of that poo into your vet and see if there's a reason for it to be so sloppy. do not try to firm it up without finding out if there's a medical reason for it to be soft. if you change the food the dog is used to you might get water instead of slop. start at the vet. if there isn't any medical reason tell the vet what you are feeding and what they reccomend.
Our vet advised us that if our dogs occasionally have runny feces that we could cook them up some liver and it would help. It does seem to. However, if your dog has runny feces A LOT I would wonder if there is something missing from his/her diet.
Feed Nutro Products it doesn't contain by-products or whole ground yellow corn which aren't harmful but they are just fillers that will make them poop more and more soft.
Feed him a high quality dog food.
He should not have that problem, if everything is OK internally.
You have had him tested for worms?? You will want to check into a good quality dog food.. Quality dog food, nice poop.. easy to pick up.
Do you see any kind of spaghetti like things in his poop or stuff that looks likes specs of rice? Could be that he has a parasite and that is causing the runny stool. Take a sample to your vet and have them run a fecal exam to see if there is a reason behind the stool issue. If he is medically fine, than I owuld take a hard look at what he is eating. Make sure that you are not giving him table scraps and that you are feeding a good quality puppy food.
What food are you feeding?
Has the dog been wormed?
Overfeeding a pup can cause loose stools.
Canidae is a very good food and it is an all stage food so you can feed the same food even after the puppy age.
Your attitude sucks! YOU are tired of scooping up?
How do you think that your DOG feels with his diarrhea?
Many dogs are simply "allergic" to dog food from a bag.
Do your research on BARF.
Any good quality kibble should do the trick. I feed by Nature Organics it's a great food. I like the size of the kibble too. With larger dogs you have the concern of bloat and with the smaller kibble it's much better. The only problem with this food is you can't get it everywhere. You can check out their website to see if it's in a pet store near you. http://www.bynaturepetfoods.com... All the best;^)
oooh yummy, food! dry food
well when my puppy had diareah our vet advised us to feed her some pasta or plain white rice JUST PLAIN STUFF NOTHING ADDED. if that doesnt work i suggest u see your vet to get a stool sample and see if anything is wrong
Science Diet (Growth) generally keeps the stools firm better then most brands of dog food. If you change puppy foods, do it a little at a time by increasingly adding the new type to the old until it is all the new type. Also, check her temperature (if it is 102 or higher, see your vet) and make sure she is not finding other things to eat like fat, garbage, dead animals, etc. Also, keep the treats to no more then 10% of his calories. If she hasn't been dewormed lately, have her dewormed. If it persists, a full veterinary exam is warranted. Bear in mind that pups especially seem to have a hard time tolerating food changes and are often soft.
