Went to a carnival and ran all day but I'm sore. What is an effective way to stop being sore?
Answers:
Stretching and Motrin.
You must be thick.
Stretch your muscles out.

Drink a couple bottles of White Zinfandel.

It happens, it goes away in about 3 days, depending on how hard and how long you exercised for. Keep moving so you don't stiffen up :)
A good rub down with rubbing alcohol or icy hot.

Take a hot shower and wait it out. You can't make your body work any faster than it does naturally. When you overwork yourself your body starts using a back-up mechanism for energy. This other mechanism produces lactic acid and it takes some time for your body to get rid of the lactic acid it has produced.
all you can do is not run or do a lot of exercise today cus your body needs to recover.. you should probably sleep it out or get a message/use a personal massager, maybe take a hot bath

ive over worked myself 3 times and it always works...
Take a hot bath then put ice on any muscles that hurt. It will pass in a day or so. I am going through the same thing, I have been doing a lot of lifting and odd jobs around my home. I ached all over for a day, even my hair hurt!

if you're already sore from running yesterday, there's not much you can do to stop. Maybe you have a chance to make the pain go away faster through stretching the sore areas, but basically, you'll have to wait it out.
for future references:
1)Stretch sufficiently before exercising
2)Stretch sufficiently after exercising
3)Right after exercising, take a hot(!) shower to relax your muscles even more, and make sure you hydrate your body.
