What can I do with my dog now?

I found a second tick on my white baby pomeranian, But this time it was smaller. And this time when I removed it, My dog was crying. A 2nd tick!!! What can I do with my dog now? Will he be fine? Do I have to take him to the vet? And also my dog is not eating from his food bowl. Only when we give it to him. And He's been doing strange things lately. This morning he was riding on my leg! Plz what do I do?
Answers:
You need to use a flea and tick preventative like advantage or revolution.
If he is not neutered, have that done asap. That will help stop the strange behavior.
Take your dog to the vet, a professional checkup is what he needs. Do it immediately.
Have you treated him for fleas and ticks? Talk to a vet.
You need to take him to the vet to check for lymes disease. Get your puppy on Frontline or Advantix for ticks and fleas. This will work.
Normaly when a tick bites a dog/animal it transfers blood but if it has a disease, which they sometimes do, you should get your pet to the vet asap.
you do not want to pull ticks off your animals ... it can cause infections. if you don't want them on it ... put baby oil on the spot where the tick is and it will come out its self them you can take it and burn it or flush it ... whatever you do . its always good to take your pet to the vet. your vet will also be able to give you answers to any other questions you have. they don't charge for questions , infact they invite questions.
how old is he? "riding on your leg" makes me think he's hit the pubescent stage of his life? Ticks can carry infectious diseases (and anytime your dog changes eating habits it is a sign of illness) so yes, you should take your dog to the vet and while you're there ask your vet about tick preventative medications. good luck, I'm sure everything will be fine but it's always better to be safe than sorry...especially since if he is sick, it is better to catch it early when it's more manageable than to wait until he's in a lot of pain later on
Have you been to a vet yet! How old is your puppy? What are you doing to prevent the ticks. And that leg thing sounds like hes dominating you!
when he was on your leg his private itched I'm not trying to sound nasty but that's wat it was. the vet doesn't get rid of the tics we found a dog and when we went to the vet to get hate shots we asked them to remove the ticks they said they wouldn't. but the groomers have a bath they dip them in and it kills the ticks in about two days. i would take him to the vet anyways just for a check up. when you feed him from your hand hes gotten use to it where he comes to you for food you need to leave the food in the bowl where he can get it he will find it and eat from his bowl.
Ticks are not a big deal. Go to the vet and have him check out if you are really concerned, get some info on a tick treatment and possible Lymes disease vaccination (a disease transferred by ticks) Maybe he doesn't like to eat because he doesn't like the area where his bowl is. It needs to be quiet possibly in the kitchen in a corner where there is not a lot of traffic, maybe his bowl is dirty and he doesn't like that (my dogs are picky believe it or not) wash it twice a week with some dishsoap and water. And he is "riding on your leg" because he is "humping" your leg. Either he has become sexually active or he wants to show his dominance. Either way, you should NEVER let your dog hump you. Wolves in the wild and also domesticated dogs do that to show their dominance. So if your dog humps you he thinks he is the boss and that's not good. You have to be strikt with him and show him the rules and make sure that he knows that YOU are the boss. Good luck.
