Hi, this irresponsible dog owner came to a park, where me and my puppy were playing. I had just got him a new sweater that cost $40, when another dog came to the fence, off leash. It was a Jack Russell breed and was barking ferociuosly and biting at the gate. The owner and his girlfriend, despite seeing the two won't get along, especially their dog, allowed his dog in through the closed gate, and the dog ran at mine and bit and ripped his sweater. Weel so much for the sweater, he was even bleeding fr the eye, where the other dog bit him. After the owner got his dog, he actually let this happen again. By letting him loose, and he beat my puppy some more, catching him and the while saying to back it up, haha they are only playng, despite my pup bleeding from the mouth the thrid time, and his new sweater only 2 hours old ripped to shreds. What can I aask of this owners dog? It was very unkind of him to just leve without a word on the third attempt don't you think so dog lovers??

I'd be pissed!! I'd ask that they pay for the sweater, (although, why was your dog wearing a sweater in August?) as well as any vet bills.
If anything, I would tell them how irresponsible they were and tell them to keep their dog away from yours or you will be calling the cops about a vicious dog off leash.
If you can get his name, report him to the police. They probably won't do anything unless your dog was serioulsy injured. His dog attacked your dog (take a picture if he has a cut) People like this make me sick. This is why I would never take my dogs to a dog park.
The same thing happened to me, except my dog was almost killed.

i have been in this situation once when my cavalier king Charles was attacked by a kelpie. my poor pup never recovered from the attack emotionally and is still to this day scared of big dogs and has been put on medication for his anxiety. when it happend it made me sick to my stomach and i was determined to do something about this irresponsible owner. i dont want to upset you but there really isn't much you can do. i reported them to the local council and they said the same thing they did go round and inspect the property and spoke to the owners but apart from that not much. you also could speak to the owner responsible and sort something out. i hope your dogs okay. good luck
If that happens again you need to ask the owner to immediately take control over their dog. Or remove your dog from this situation.
If you take a dog to the dog park, they should have proof of rabies vaccination in the form of a tag on their collar. Did you see this on the other person's dog.
How old is the puppy? You need to be careful about exposing him to other dogs if he hasn't had all of his vaccinations.
They should not have allowed their dog to keep beating up on your puppy, especially since he was bleeding.
I would not have taken my pup to a dog park, virus`s and germs are abundunt there. You should have thought twice about bringing a pup to a dog park, I would have waited until the pup was at least 16 weeks before I ventured out there.But to say the least....some people, ( the other dog owner ) do not deserve a dog.

i'm sure you love your puppy, but the thing is, you were irresponsible too. when you saw that the jack russell was biting your dog, why did you let him attack a second and third time? you should have picked up you puppy and left the park after the first time.
Well, I've beem to dog parks and nothing had happened to my babies;I think they have beem protected by angels.But if it was me I would NOT let the other dog come for a second and third attack.I would fight the killer dog,even though i could get hurt too.As far as law,I don't know what can be done.
It seems that your more worry about the sweater than the puppy.

You need to report this to the police. As well as sue the owners. Maybe if the jerks are made to pay for their stupidity they will not do it again.
Where I live we have a Leash Law. You should see if your state does as well. If so, then you should call the police and report a vicious dog off leash. The owners need to be held responsible.

number one, why were you stupid enough to just leave your dog on the ground!?! DUH!! You see he's hurt, yet you're stupid enough to leave him there to get attacked two more times!! You're just as irresponsible as the Russel's owners!
I am very much a dog lover, have 4 of my own. But I would NEVER EVER just sit by and watch my dog be ravaged by another dog.. Unbelievable.

I hear things like this and that is exactly why I never would go to a dog park. Too many irresponsible owners. If you know the people, find them and tell them you expect payment for the sweater and for them to pay you for any vet bills that you had to pay. If you did not have any vet bills, you should have taken your puppy to be checked out.
Ask him to pay the vet bill and for the sweater. and it there was a leash law I would probably sue him.
